A process scanner is a instrument that has capability of connecting multiple sensors/ transmitters to it and display them on its LED or LCD display. The display shows each channel periodically in cyclic mode. Temperature Scanner is the most common example of Process scanner. Temperature scanners are capable of accepting inputs from various temperature sensors such as RTD Pt100, Pt1000, Pt50 etc or thermocouples such as J, K, R, S, T, B, E and N. Process scanners also provide alarm indication with Alarm and Trip output relay. Modern process scanners also provide communication ports such as RS232, RS485, Ethernet etc.

Falcon, 4 channel scanner with 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs is a compact and versatile indicating unit. It has four analog inputs of 4-20mA which is industry standard.It is having two software writable channels. These inputs are keyboard scalable to their corresponding engineering units. Falcon has facility of connecting four digital inputs either from potential free contacts or from sensors like proximity switch, limit switch etc. There is also facility of four digital outputs which can be connected to external relay card.
